He went on to perform at Dunham Massey in A suitable match and A right royal rebel and has since performed at the Edinburgh Festival – Merchant of Venice, The Contact Theatre – Prince of the Morning, The Royal Exchange Studio Theatre - Thrasher, The Royal Northern College of Music – Candlesticks, The Palace Theatre – After the blood rush and with Hope, No-Attitude and Two-triangles theatre companies.

Darren is Co-founder / Artistic director of Men in dressing gowns Theatre Company, whose debut production Les hommes dans robes de chambre has enjoyed sell out successes at The Buxton Opera House fringe season and the Salford Arts Theatre with Darren in the role of Billy Langhorn.
